Safety

A Commitment to Your Health and Well-Being

At Morrison Dental Care, patient safety is built into everything we do. We take proactive steps to protect our patients, their families, our team, and the greater community by maintaining a clinical environment that prioritizes cleanliness, infection control, and prevention at every level.

Our office follows rigorous protocols designed to reduce the risk of infection and maintain a consistently safe treatment space. Because dental care involves close contact, we apply universal safety precautions for every patient, every visit—without exception.

Our procedures meet or exceed recommendations established by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). These standards guide how we clean, disinfect, and sterilize our environment and equipment.

Instrument & Surface Safety Protocols

To ensure the highest level of protection, we maintain strict controls over everything used during your care:

  • Patient treatment areas are thoroughly disinfected between visits
  • Dental instruments are steam-sterilized using medical-grade autoclaves
  • All clinical surfaces are treated with hospital-level disinfectants effective against bacteria and viruses
  • Instruments are cleaned, sealed, and sterilized to eliminate all pathogens
  • Single-use, disposable materials are utilized whenever appropriate
  • Universal precautions are applied consistently to every patient encounter

A Clean Facility & Protected Team

Any item used during your appointment is either fully sterilized or disposed of after one use. This eliminates cross-contamination and ensures a clean, controlled clinical experience every time you visit.

Safety extends beyond the treatment room. High-touch areas throughout the practice are disinfected frequently, including:

  • Door handles, countertops, chairs, and shared surfaces
  • Restroom fixtures such as sinks, faucets, and toilets

When indicated, our clinical team wears enhanced personal protective equipment to further reduce exposure risks and maintain a safe environment for everyone.
